The fire service, both volunteer and career, has become much more professionalized and we all have two goals in mind - to protect the public and make sure everyone goes home at the end of the day.  The AFDSNY working with NYSAFC, FASNY, NYSFCA, OFPC and the NYS DOL developed a program of Best Practices for Firefighter Training.  The best practices are intended to ensure that we meet the goal of everyone goes home.  This program will provide you with an overview of the Best Practices and what every Fire District and Department should know.
