James Havernick Memorial Training Award
The Association of Fire Districts of the State of New York (AFDSNY) is proud to announce that applications are now being accepted for the James Havernick Memorial Annual Meeting & Training Support Award.
Purpose:
This award was established to support AFDSNY member districts with limited annual budgets, enabling them to attend important events such as the Annual Meeting or special training events like our Mini Summits.
Eligibility Criteria: Priority will be given to districts with annual budgets under $200,000. If no applications are received in this category, districts with budgets between $200,000 and $300,000 will be considered.
Applications will ONLY be accepted through a dedicated link on the AFDSNY website and reviewed by the Membership Committee before final approval by the Board of Directors.
Award Details:
Covers two attendees (Commissioner, Secretary, Treasurer, Deputy Treasurer, or Chief)
Registration and hotel accommodations arranged by the Administrator
Meal reimbursement based on the federal GSA rate (excluding any meals already provided)
Applicants must submit all receipts and documentation for reimbursement within 10 days following the event.
